I’m leaving the invisible world

It seems so long ago now since we were in Central America (almost 5 months since we got back). Anyhow, got some of my films back from lab recently and thought I would post some of the infra-red ones I got scanned. I love infra-red film (something I owe to my 3 years training with the photographer Craig Mackay) and there is something special about making the invisible visible – a different way to visually express the scene in front of you.

In the words of the great documentary photographer Elliot Erwitt photography is an art of observation, it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”

Hope you enjoy them. Will have more of my never-ending “Fisherman Of The World” series from Belize and Guatemala soon too. – FIN
