Its already well past the halfway point 2017 and I have no excuse apart from – it’s been busy…
A lot has happened in the past 10 months and most of it has been pretty good! A few disappointments along the way with a few projects I applied for and didn’t get. But then there were other projects I put in for and did get so it all balances out I guess.
So what have I been up to? Well there has been a lot of branding, marketing materials and signage, some packaging, a big art commission with spray paint (woohoo!), some photography and some other general nonsense. This includes extending my collection of vinyl toys and discovering lots of new bands together with rediscovering the music of the 1980’s.
Seem to have found myself doing a lot of work for restaurants and hotels (Greens, The Storehouse, The Railway Hotel), food companies (Golspie Mill, Highland Patissier, Bannermans, The Forest Kitchen, Scrape The Jar, Dornoch Stores, The Pizza Box) and even a new local gin which has been branded and launched but not produced yet (SUTORS Gin). Really enjoyed working with all of them and have attached a few shots from Dornoch Stores below (they just opened yesterday!)
The big project was the one I talked about way back in August last year which was the commission at Inverness Castle. Will blog about that soon with some more pics.
Lastly, I have at last done some new business cards for myself which I am very happy about. Been working with a wonderful printer in Glasgow who is a foiling and letterpress genius! Again, will post some pics of that another time…
Going to make a promise that I will blog in next few weeks too.
No pressure then. – FIN
